Definition:

ERP stands for Enterprise Resource Planning. ERP software can be used to link different parts of a company via a shared database. The system manages and evaluates business management processes in the areas of production, sales, logistics, accounting, HR, etc. The aim is, through management and controlling by the ERP system, to optimize business processes. Resources can therefore be used efficiently and support can be provided for business decisions. ERP software can be linked to a CRM system, for example, via an interface.
